Russian airline UTair has selected the Honeywell avionics suite for 60 new single-aisle aircraft entering service over the next few years.
Honeywell disclosed the competitive selection for UTair's 40 Boeing 737NGs and 20 Airbus A321s currently on order, with deliveries scheduled between 2013 and 2019.
The competitive selections in the Russian market come on top of 16 Honeywell avionics suites ordered by Aeroflot alongside 16 Boeing 777s, and another 50 systems ordered by Aviakapital-Servis with orders for 50 737NGs.
Aviakapital-Servis has signed a memorandum of understanding with Aeroflot to operate the 737s on lease.
