Malaysia and Thailand have signed an open skies air services agreement. It allows carriers from each side to operate as many frequencies as they like between the two countries, to any international airport. It replaces an agreement that restricted Malaysian carriers to 35 passenger flights weekly to Bangkok, Haadyai, Phuket and Koh Samui, and seven cargo flights to Bangkok.
