Boullioun Aviation Services and Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) have signed sale-and-leaseback deals on four Boeing 737-800s to Air Berlin. Japan Airlines (JAL) has ordered five Boeing 767-300ERs to replace McDonnell Douglas DC-10s. The General Electric CF6-powered twinjets are due for delivery in 2003 and 2004. JAL's 15 remaining DC-10s will be retired between 2003 and 2006. National Jet Italia has returned two Boeing 737-400s to International Aircraft Investors and International Lease Finance. Boeing has announced an order from an unknown customer for four 737-700s. Airlease has leased two ex-US Airways Boeing MD-82s for up to five years to Albuquerque, New Mexico-based CSI Aviation Services to provide charter flights for the US Marshals Service. Qantas has placed orders for three Bombardier Dash 8 Q300s. Meanwhile, Wideroe and British European are the latest airlines to take delivery of the Q400.
