++ TWA has concluded an agreement with International Lease Finance, to take a new Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered Boeing 767-300ER, on lease. The 233-seat aircraft will be used on routes to the Middle East. ++ Japan Air System has placed orders for two Airbus A300-600Rs powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4158s. ++ Zhejiang Airlines has arranged to lease two CFM International CFM56-powered Airbus A320s for delivery in August and October. ++ SC Aviation has completed lease-extension agreements on four Boeing 737-200s which have been on lease to Vanguard Airlines since 1994. The new agreements extend the leases until late 1999. ++ Air Afrique has cancelled its remaining order for one General Electric CF6-80C2-powered Airbus A310-300. ++ Further to last week's Market Place, British World Airlines (BWA) is seeking to lease (wet or dry) at least one of its two AI(R) ATR 72s which are based at Aberdeen. Although the airline is taking delivery of two BAe ATPs soon, it has not decided to replace the ATRs with the new aircraft. Meanwhile, BWA will take delivery soon of an ex-Cathay Pacific Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 100 which it will operate for Classic Airways on back-up services. ++ Australian Air Express will introduce an ex-Ansett Boeing 727-200Adv on its freighter services later this year. The aircraft, which will be flown by Aeromarine, is being converted to freighter by Stambaugh Air Service in the USA. ++ Cairo, Egypt-based airline Orca Air has added an ex-Tyrolean Airways Bombardier de Havilland Dash 8-300 on three-year lease from the manufacturer. The airline's fleet includes one Raytheon Aircraft Beech King Air and two Fairchild Dornier Metro 23s. ++ Ryanair will add an ex-TAP Air Portugal Boeing 737-200, now in service with TAP, later this year, through a self-financed purchase. The acquisition, which is one of five additional 737s being in 1997, will increase its fleet to 20 by November.
