-Pearljet of Australia has purchased a second British Aerospace Jetstream 41 from BAe Asset Management - Turboprops (AMT), to be based at Brisbane.

-O'Connor Airlines of Mount Gambier, Australia, has become the first customer in the Asia- Pacific region for the British Aerospace Jetstream 32EP enhanced performance aircraft, leasing two examples from AMT.

-British World Airlines is to double its British Aerospace ATP fleet to four aircraft.

-Air Guadeloupe has added a second Aero International (Regional) ATR 42-500 to its Caribbean network.

-France's Air Littoral has placed a $100 million order for five additional Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet(CRJ) Series 100s for delivery in 1998-9, taking its fleet to 19. Three will be leased out during 1998 before entering service with the airline in 1999. Air Littoral has signed a letter of intent to acquire five stretched CRJ-700s.

-Slovenia's Adria Airways has exercised one of its two options for Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) Series 200LRs. The aircraft will be delivered in November, joining two CRJ-200ERs already in service.

-International Lease Finance (ILFC) has leased a fifth Boeing 757-200 (a -200ER) to Finnair. Meanwhile, KLM will lease an eleventh Boeing 767 (a -300ER) from ILFC, from March 1999.

-European Aviation has purchased six Airbus A300B2s from Air France Industries, which are being delivered to its Bournemouth, UK base. The company has also agreed to acquire 13 Boeing 737-200s from Sabena as the Belgian airline replaces them with Airbus A320s.

-Aeropostale is to buy up to three used Airbus A300-B4s and has indicated that it will also order an unspecified number of new or used ATR 72s. The carrier, jointly owned by Air France and the French postal system, operates 21 Boeing 727s and 737s, but needs larger aircraft which meet Stage 3 noise regulations. The A300B4s are understood to be ex-Air Afrique aircraft.
