++ Canadian charter carrier Royal Airlines has acquired an ex-Emirates Airbus A310-300 from Airbus Industrie, bringing its fleet to three A310s. Emirates is trading its A300/A310 fleet to Airbus as part of its order for A330-200s. ++ Kitty Hawk is to operate two additional Boeing 727-200 freighters on behalf of Burlington Air Express on a two-year aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance contract expected to generate $13 million a year for the Dallas, Texas-based charter carrier. ++ Sun Air of South Africa is taking an ex-Austrian Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82, which is reportedly being leased from Safair. ++ Air Ukraine is reportedly now closing in on its plans to order two Boeing 767-200ERs and three Airbus A320s. ++ CityFlyer Express has converted one of its two options held for the Aero International (Regional) (AI(R) Avro RJ100, bringing its firm orders to three aircraft. The Gatwick-based carrier has also ordered an additional AI(R) ATR 72. ++ Croatia Airlines will add a former Sudan Airways A320 on three-year lease from Airbus, later this month. ++ Iberia's regional subsidiary Binter Canarias has placed orders with AI(R) for three additional ATR 72s. The Canary Islands-based carrier already flies six ATR 72s. ++ Medical Air Services has agreed to purchase a second Jetstream 31 from British Aerospace Asset Managment Turboprops. The aircraft is equipped with two medical units and six passenger seats. ++ BWIA International Airways has subleased its two Airbus A321-100s to Turkish airline Air Alfa for four years. The two aircraft were delivered to BWIA in 1996 on lease from International Lease Finance. ++ Ethiopian Airlines has leased a Royal Brunei Boeing 767-300ER from Babcock and Brown. ++ Transportes Aereos de Cabo Verde has placed an order for one AI(R) ATR 42-300, to enable it to meet a rise in passenger traffic and new services. Two ATR 42s are already operated on the carrier's inter-island operation.
