-CIT Group has delivered two Stage 3 hushkitted Boeing 727-200s to Champion Air on seven-year operating leases.

-Cabot Aviation has arranged the sale of a 16-year-old, ex-TAP Air Portugal Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 500 to Canadian charter airline Air Transat. The aircraft has been delivered, following a C check, and will be operated in a 310-seat configuration.

-Japanese regional Ryukyu Air Commuter has placed a follow-on order with Bombardier for another Dash 8-100 turboprop, for delivery in December. The deal represents the conversion of one of two options, part of the airline's original order in 1996 for three Dash 8s.

-Debonair has added an ex-Pauknair British Aerospace 146-100 on short term lease from BAe Asset Management (AM). The company has also placed an ex-Jersey European Airways 146-300 with Aer Lingus Commuter. ++Aviation Capital Group has concluded the purchase of four secondhand aircraft, including a Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Boeing 757-200 which has been on lease to American Trans Air, two Boeing MD-82s leased to American Airlines and one Boeing 737-300 leased to America West.

-Airbus has sold three ex-Pan American A300B4s to two freight companies for conversion to cargo by British Aerospace Aviation Services. TNT has acquired two aircraft, boosting its A300B4F commitments to seven, while DHL's European arm, European Air Transport, has bought the other.

-American Trans Air has put the first of its five ex-Royal Jordanian Airlines TriStar 500s into service. The remainder will be delivered over the next year, enabling the airline to boost its non-stop charter flight business.

-Ethiopian Airlines has added a new Pratt & Whitney PW4060-powered Boeing 767-300ER on lease from Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services.

-Chinese carrier Shandong Airlines is doubling its Saab 340B fleet to eight with the acquisition of four ex-Formosa Airlines examples on lease from Taiwan's Sean-Ho Aircraft Leasing.
