Gemini Air Cargo has acquired three British Airways Boeing DC-10-30s in a deal arranged by Curtis and Xavian. The aircraft will be converted by Alenia's Aeronavali facility in Naples. The Italian company is also expected to convert an ex-Varig DC-10-30 acquired by Belgium-based Skyjet from Mitsui. Aerospatiale's Sogerma Maintenance Centre has won a contract to construct the fifth Airbus A300-600ST Super Transporter for SATIC, the operation that transports large aircraft sections between the Airbus Industrie partners' manufacturing sites. Increased Airbus production and third-party work has made a fifth aircraft necessary. Citing the Asia/Pacific economic downturn, Royal Brunei Airlines expects to sell two Boeing 767-300ERs and two Fokker 100s, for which it says that negotiations are almost complete. Meanwhile, the airline has negotiated deferrals on two Airbus Industrie A319s which were due for delivery in June and July. Finnair has taken delivery of an A321,the first of 12 A320 family aircraft it has on order. Kenya Airways has leased an A310-300 from German carrier Condor. Unicapital Air is to acquire two L'Aeropostale 737-300QCs from Indigo Aviation. Finova Capital has taken delivery of two Boeing 727-200 Stage III aircraft. The deal, arranged by UK company Gamit, will see the ex-Istanbul Airlines aircraft converted to freighters.
