Monarch Airlines is to add an International Aero Engines V2533-A5-powered Airbus A321-200 in March, on lease from Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise. Boeing has delivered the first two 757-300s to launch customer Condor. Five more are due for delivery by July. Frontier Airlines is taking two hushkitted Boeing 737-200s on lease from Triton Aviation Service, while two 737-300s are expected to be leased from Indigo Aviation. Three will be used to replace non-hushkitted 737-200s, and the fourth is for expansion. British Aerospace Asset Management has retained, to remarket, two BAe 146-200s on behalf of Hubbell. The two US Airways aircraft are on sublease to Debonair, but are due to return to Hubbell when the head leases expire in February and August 2000. Kibris Turkish Airlines is negotiating to lease a pair of Boeing 737-800s from GE Capital Aviation Services in April and May 2000, as part of plans to replace its four ageing 727-200s. The 727 replacement would be completed with the purchase of a further two 737-800s direct from Boeing in 2001, for which the carrier holds purchase options. The airline, 50% owned by THY Turkish Airlines, will add a second A310 in May, bought from THY. SAS is disposing of its 11 Fokker F28 Mk4000s between now and December, and has appointed Aircraft Leasing and Management to remarket the aircraft. The F28s are being replaced by Bombardier Dash 8 Q400s and Boeing 737-600s. Pakistan International Airlines has confirmed its deal with Cathay Pacific to lease six Boeing 747-300s (one more than previously reported). The deal has an initial lease term of two years, with the option to switch to a 10-year financial lease. Alitalia has taken the first of 19 Airbus A320s it has on order. The CFM International CFM56-powered 147-seater joins the airline's 22 larger A321s on its European network. Virgin Express will add two 737-400s on five-year leases from Braathens in April and May.
