Korean Air has taken delivery of the first two of six Pratt & Whitney PW4098-powered Boeing 777-300s it has on order. Two more -300s are due next year, and the final two in 2001 and 2002. The deliveries are about 12 months later than originally scheduled, partly due to a delay in the certification of the PW4098. Air Nostrum, the Valencia-based Iberia franchise carrier, has confirmed one of its five Canadair Regional Jet Series 200 options. Argentina's LAPA has agreed to take seven additional 737-700s on lease from International Lease Finance (ILFC) for 12 years from December 2000. The aircraft are to replace 737-200s. Canada's WestJet Airlines has purchased two more Boeing 737-200s in deals worth $10 million. The first example, purchased from UniCapital, will enter service in October, while the second is coming from Itochu Air Lease and will enter service in January. PB Air of Bangkok has purchased three Fokker F28 Mk4000s from SAS, in a deal arranged by Aircraft Leasing and Management. Air Europa has signed seven-year lease deals with ILFC for three new General Electric CF6-80C2 Boeing 767-300ERs, for delivery between next April and May 2001.
