FedEx has purchased two 11 year-old ex-Pan Am AirbusA310-300s previously managed by Magellan. The Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered aircraft are undergoing cargo conversion in Dresden, Germany. German regional Eurowings has ordered six ATR 72-500 turboprops to replace six of its seven smaller ATR42-300s, which will be returned to the manufacturer as part of the deal. Two ATR 72s will be handed over in March, followed by two more in April and the final two in May and June. Finnair has ordered one additional CFM56-powered A320 for delivery in February 2002. The airline has also completed sale and lease backs for five Boeing MD-80s - two MD-87s and three MD-82/83s. The aircraft will leave the fleet in 9-15 months.
