++ Monarch Airlines has firmed up its letters of intent for two Rolls-Royce Trent 700-powered Airbus A330-200s, and two International Aero Engines V2500-powered A321-200s. Monarch, which already operates a fleet of 12 Airbuses, will take delivery of the new aircraft from March 1999. ++ Rheintalflug has placed an order with Bombardier for a single de Havilland Dash 8-300 for delivery in December, with an option for one additional aircraft. The Austrian regional airline already operates a fleet of three Dash 8s, and holds an order for one Dash 8-400. ++ Club Vuelos Internos Privados of Equador has placed an order for two Fairchild Dornier 328-120s for delivery in 1998. ++ TACA Group of El Salvador has added eight orders for the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan, which will bring its fleet to 12 Caravans. The group's first four Caravans were delivered earlier this year, while the eight additional aircraft will be delivered between now and the end of the year. ++ Icelandair has placed an order for four Rolls-Royce RB.211-535 powered Boeing 757s, including two -200s and two -300s, becoming the second airline to select the new stretched derivative. The two -200s will be delivered in January 1998 and April 1999, while the -300s are scheduled to arrive in the second quarters of 2001 and 2002. Icelandair has also taken options on eight more 757s, for delivery between 2000 and 2006. ++ Air Iceland has received the first of two new Fairchild Dornier Metro 23s. ++ The first of four Embraer EMB-145s was delivered to British Regional Airlines during a ceremony at the show. The second and third aircraft are due in July and August, with the fourth and fifth due to enter service in January and February 1998. ++ Air Guadeloupe has ordered two new Fairchild Dornier 228-112s for delivery in late 1997. Aero International (Regional) has sold three ATR 72s and one ATR 42 to Air Dolomiti and five ATR 42s to Eurowings.
