Varig Airlines will take delivery of two winglet-equipped Boeing 737-800s on lease from GATX Capital in September and October. Provincial Airlines of St John's, Newfoundland, has taken two Saab 340As on lease from MCC Financial which will replace 19-seat Fairchild Metros. South African leasing company Safair will take delivery of three new ATR 72-500s in August, October and December for onward lease to Jet Airways of India. International Lease Finance will lease two A330-200s that Cyprus Airways is acquiring. The aircraft will be delivered in October 2002 and April 2003. Emirates will lease two Boeing 777-300s from Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise in July and September 2002.
