UK-based African freight airline Das Air Cargo has taken delivery of an ex-Continental Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30,following conversion to freighter configuration by Singapore Aerospace under a Boeing subcontract. The aircraft will operate services from London Gatwick to Entebbe, Dubai and Lagos. After several delays, Montenegro Airlines has received its second Fokker 100, an ex-KLM uk aircraft. Varig has acquired an ex-British Airways DC-10-30F on lease in a deal formed by the newly created aircraft investment management company XS Aviation. The aircraft was converted to a freighter by Aeronavali. Scottish regional carrier Highland Airways has acquired an ex-Skyways BAe J31 through Skyways Aviation, which will be operated alongside its existing J31. SA Airlink has taken delivery of its first Embraer ERJ-135. The South African carrier is due to receive four aircraft this year which form part of a deal for up to 70 aircraft, including 30 firm orders and 40 options.
