Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has signed a lease agreement with GE Capital Aviation Services for a four-year-old Boeing 737-300. UIA has also arranged for the immediate lease of a 737-500. The 737-300 will replace an older 737-200. Australian aviation services company National Jet Systems (NJS) has extended its lease of an Avro RJ70 jet from BAE Systems after securing a new contract from Australia's Department of Territories and Regional Services. NJS is to provide scheduled flights to the remote Indian Ocean communities of Christmas and Cocos Islands. All Nippon Airways (ANA) will take delivery of its first dedicated freighter in September next year. The Boeing 767-300F will be operated jointly with Nippon Cargo Airlines, in which ANA holds a 21.9% stake, on routes between Tokyo Narita and points in China and elsewhere in Asia. Pegasus Aviation has purchased Qatar Airways' two remaining Boeing 727-200 Advs, in a deal arranged by Aircraft Leasing and Management. The Doha-based airline has replaced the ageing tri-jets on regional routes with new Airbus A320s.
