Malév Hungarian Airlines has signed a lease deal with International Lease Finance for eight more Boeing Next Generation 737s - four -600s, one -700 and three -800s. Deliveries will take place between October next year and April 2005.
Vietnam Airlines has taken delivery of a Boeing 767-300ER on lease from Ansett Worldwide. The carrier has extended the lease for another 767-300ER from the same company.
Pakistan International Airlines has reportedly agreed to purchase five Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Boeing 747-300s from Cathay Pacific, that it has been leasing. The airline has also purchased a sixth 747-300 from Cathay. Talks are under way with the US Eximbank about financing for the deal, which is reportedly worth $63 million.
Slovak Airlines has recently added a Boeing 737-300 on lease from Ansett Worldwide. The aircraft joins a fleet of two Tupolev Tu-154s.
Air Bosna is adding a Boeing MD-80 on lease from Elmo Aviation. The Bosnian carrier also recently leased a Fokker 50. The aircraft are being acquired for new European routes.
Virgin Blue is to add four new Boeing 737-700s on lease from Boullioun Aviation Services for delivery in the third quarter of this year. The deal brings the Australian low-fare airline's 737 fleet to 26 aircraft.
