The McKechnie group (Stand F11, Hall 4) comes to the show on a high after a recent spate of orders and first deliveries.
McKechnie company Electromech has shipped initial quantities of a production lightweight linear ball-screw actuator developed for US company Aerospace Filtration Systems (AFS) for use in rotorcraft inlet-barrier filtration systems. The actuator went from specification to production in under three months.
Electromech has also begun shipping production units of its advanced brushless DC motor to Argo Tech. The motor, which drives the engine boost pump in Argo Tech's new-technology fuel management system, is fuel-cooled and integrates the motor with its controller, yielding a unit weight of less than 1.36kg.
Latches
Another McKechnie subsidiary, Hartwell Corporation, has received orders from C&D Aerospace to support development and manufacture of ballistic and non-ballistic decompression latches for use on A380 crew rest area structural venting panels. First deliveries are due next month.
Hartwell has also been signed to supply Hurel-Hispano with pressure-relief door assemblies for A380 engine nacelles. The French company prime contractor for the nacelles for both A380 engine options.
And the company is to supply Bombardier company Short Brothers with all nacelle-related latching products to be used on the CRJ700 and 900 regional jets. First units are to be delivered by the third quarter of the year.
Following a contract in May, another group subsidiary Tyee Aircraft is to begin shipping G150 flight control rods and other components and systems to IAI Israeli Aircraft Industries at the end of this month.
The agreement also covers the G200, components and systems for which are scheduled for initial delivery in November.
