UK-based McKechnie Aerospace (Hall 4, E8) has combined a dozen or more of its companies into four new groups - Structures, Aftermarket, Fasteners and Electromechanical.

"The groups were formed to strengthen us as a supply-chain partner," says chief executive Robert Gibbon. Integrating the heritage companies into co-ordinated groups, will give McKechnie a feedback system unique in aerospace, Gibbon says.

The Structures group will focus on latches, latching systems, flight control rods, interior and exterior hold-open rods, airframe and engine struts, and integrated door and canopy sub-assemblies and systems.

The Aftermarket group will provide e-commerce-based supply-chain support services for aircraft operators, maintenance and repair organisations, and fixed-base operators.

Fasteners will design, manufacture and support specialist studs, bolts, rivets and loader-slot bearings for engine, airframe and space applications.

The Electromechanical group will design, manufacture and service flight-control actuators and systems, landing gear actuators, blowers, motors and integrated electromechanical assemblies.
