Herbert Lanese has been named president of McDonnell Douglas (MDC) Aerospace, replacing John Capellupo, who is to retire at the end of March. Lanese was previously executive vice-president and chief financial officer for MDC and, in his new role, will be responsible for combat aircraft, military-training systems, missile systems, helicopters, and space, defence and electronic weapons.
