MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES (MEA) will take delivery of its first Airbus A320 at the end of January, on lease from International Lease Finance (ILFC). The airline will also lease a second A320, along with two A321s (all powered by International Aero Engines V2500s) in the second quarter of 1997 (Flight International, 25 September - 1 October, 1996). The new Airbuses will replace MEA's Boeing 707s on services within the Middle East and to Europe.
