Dubai's financial crisis of 2008-09 may have pressed the pause button on the until then unstoppable growth of the Gulf emirate's economy, but demand for business aviation in the wider region continues to fast-forward. As the Middle East Business Aviation show returns next week to Dubai, 40% bigger than its 2008 predecessor, we look at some of the operators and service providers making the running in the region - from local players to big names from Europe and North America. We canvass the views of the airframers about prospects for the market, examine infrastructure developments and assess the extent of the so-called grey market problem: where owners of private aircraft without an operator's certificate are tempted to hire out their asset for charter.
