With the Bahrain International Airshow 2014 just over a year away, organisers have announced unprecedented sales at this stage in its show cycle, with over 50% of the chalets sold.
Members of the BIAS Supreme Organising Committee, Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs and Farnborough International are at MEBA to promote BIAS and host meetings with key organisations visiting the show. Bahrain's minister for transportation, HE Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed is attending the show further to his recent appointment to the BIAS Supreme Organising Committee.
Now in its third edition, BIAS 2014 sees the introduction of new initiatives including a two-day conference programme focusing on civil and defence matters; an exhibition feature hall showcasing the latest developments in security, UAS and intelligent systems; and a civil and military delegations programme.
Companies confirmed as participating in the 2014 event thus far include, among others: Batelco, DHL, GE, Gulf Air, Gulf Aviation Academy, Lockheed Martin, Qatar Airways, Selex Systems Integration and TAG Aeronautics.
"The new initiatives being introduced for the 2014 show will add further weight to the event, stimulating participant interest and increasing visitor numbers yet at the same time maintaining the core values of the event that make it so unique and popular," says Amanda Stainer, events and exhibitions director at Farnborough International.
