Torn between a bone leather or grey pinstripe divan for your private aircraft? Not sure whether damask grey carpet will go with the mahogany cabinets? The Jet Business has an app for you.
The London-based business jet showroom is claiming its interactive tool, being unveiled today at MEBA, as an "industry first". It allows customers to view a variety of interior fabrics and furnishings using a 3D replica of a business jet cabin.
The current version of the app features a Gulfstream 550, but other aircraft will be added, including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Dassault types, says founder Steve Varsano.
The app, which uses proprietary software, is being offered to customers as a free service to help them narrow their choices when deciding on an aircraft to buy. "We want to make the process of buying a plane as easy as possible," he says.
"With a wide range of options now available in interior furnishings and the great leaps in technology and digital imagery, we are very pleased to help clients create personalised interiors which reflect their lifestyle and tastes. Up to now, the process has been very different for clients to immediately visualise their choices only using swatch materials," adds Varsano.
Veteran salesman Varsano set up The Jet Business in January in one of London's most high-profile addresses, Hyde Park Corner, as the "first brand in pre-owned aircraft". The showroom, on the ground floor of an office block, includes a full-size and fully furnished Airbus ACJ319 cabin mock-up - visible from the street - and video walls on which aircraft images and 1:1 cross-sections can be displayed.
Varsano, who buys and sells used aircraft for clients, says the presigious location has helped attract "billionaires, embassy people, wealth managers and corporate executives through the door".
