French firm Vigiplane is offering its business jet security system that offers 24h monitoring of parked aircraft. The system comes with a chock - made of an aluminium and composite material - that is installed on the nose-wheel undercarriage.

A peripheral detection module that runs on a rechargeable lithium battery is installed on the chock, offering 360 degree field of detection, says the company, which is part of Blue Green Technology.

Once armed, it shoots real-time pictures, backs up all received information, and transmits alarms via cellular networks or satellite to a monitoring centre. Owners, pilots, security services and airport security will be contacted by the centre if they assess that there is a need to raise an alarm.
