Meggitt Avionics has announced a hat trick of awards here at the Paris air show, two of them for oil sensors.

Williams International has chosen Engine Oil Level Switches on the FJ44-2 engine to replace an existing sight gauge with an electronic sensor.

Features on the switch eliminate the need to open cowlings and utilise mirrors and ladders when conducting preflight, through-flight and post-flight checks.

Meggitt Avionics will supply all oil sensors for the BR715 engine as part of an integrated lubrication system.

The third contract is for fuel quantity and dual torque indicators on Erikson Air-Crane S-64 heavy helicopters.

The indicators are part of a continuous airframe upgrade designed to improve operational efficiencies and safety.
