UK-based John Menzies is to buy the global airport ground handling operations of Ogden Aviation Services as US-based Ogden continues to work towards the full disposal of its aviation interests.

Menzies says in a statement that it has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire the Ogden Aviation Services business, known as Ogden Ground Services, for $117.8 million in cash.

The business has operations at 57 airports in 20 countries and is principally involved in the provision of ground handling services and in particular air cargo, passenger and ramp handling services.
