French regulator Commission des Participations et des Transferts (CPT) has given its approval for the proposed merger between aerospace manufacturer Snecma and high technology manufacturer Sagem. Sagem expects to complete its public offer for Snecma's shares by 7 March, with the merger to be completed by May. The French government, which owns a 62.2% stake in Snecma, will hold a 35.9% share in the newly formed group after the deal is concluded.
