• Aircraft and engine resale and lease specialist Kellstrom Industries has agreed to buy Certified Aircraft Parts, an aftermarket supplier to the Lockheed Martin C-130/L-100, for $16 million. Both companies are based in Florida.
• BFGoodrich has acquired Ohio-based Advanced MicroMachines (AMMI), a developer of micro-electromechanical systems integrating electrical and mechanical components to form "smart" sensing and control devices, and will integrate the business with its aircraft sensors division.
• US automotive components giant TRW has accumulated 90% of the share capital of UK aerospace and automotive manufacturer LucasVarity, and can now acquire remaining stock through compulsory purchase.
• American Trans Air has bought TG Shown, its partner in the Amber Air Freight joint venture that markets cargo space in its aircraft fleet.
• US engineering specialist Eaton is selling its fastener and fluid power divisions to raise cash for the $1.7 billion purchase of hydraulic systems specialist Aeroquip-Vickers.
• US infra-red systems specialist Inframetrics - 20% owned by Israel's Elbit Systems - has completed its merger with FLIR Systems, a thermal imaging company.
• Trinidadian carrier BWIA International Airways is to sell its third stake in ailing regional carrier LIAT, based on Antigua, and has reportedly received an offer from the island's government.
• California passenger flight information systems provider Airshow has acquired the product line of Flight TECH, a US inflight entertainment manufacturer specialising in equipment for the general aviation market.
• US fastener specialist TriStar Aerospace has closed its $31.6 million purchase of Standard Parts & Equipment, improving its presence in the business aircaft market.
• Comptek Research has completed its purchase of electronic warfare systems test equipment maker Amherst Systems.
