US engineering giant Eaton has completed its $1.7 billion acquisition of Aeroquip-Vickers, a manufacturer of engineered products for the aerospace and industrial markets. French engine maker Snecma has spun off its Snecma Services division as a 100%-owned subsidiary responsible for overhaul of the CFM56 and other powerplants. Bell Helicopter Textron may buy Poland's PZL Swidnik helicopter business if Warsaw orders Bell's AH-1 Super Cobra, the Polish company has indicated. Fine Air has completed its acquisition of Miami neighbour Arrow Air after receiving regulatory approval for the move. Norway's Helicopter Services group has rejected a NKr45 ($6) per share take-over bid by Canada's CHC Helicopter, which already holds a 30% stake in the company. SatCon Technology, a US-based manufacturer of active motion control systems for satellites and propulsion systems, has acquired HyComp, a specialist in multi-chip electronics, for $800,000.
