Turnkey Boeing 737 operator Eastwind Airlines of New Jersey has been put up for sale by owner UM Holdings, with an asking price of $10 million, including its operating certificate. TRW Aeronautical Systems' Lucas Aerospace division has finalised its purchase of German engine systems company Pierburg Luftfahrtgerate Union from Kolbenschmidt Pierburg. Lufthansa Systems has founded a new 100%-owned subsidiary, TTI Consult, a specialised information technology consulting company. St Louis-based ESCO Electronics is to sell its Systems & Electronics (SEI) defence subsidiary to Engineered Support Systems for $85 million in cash. SEI (turnover $175 million) supports the APQ-159 radar in the Northrop F-5 and produces missile sighting systems such as HeliTow.
