BAE has completed its $1.67 billion purchase of Lockheed Martin Aerospace Electronics Systems after winning regulatory approval for the move. British Airways says it has had more than 50 approaches regarding the planned sale of its low-fares Go subsidiary. Go rivals easyJet and Buzz (via parent KLM) have requested information, as has Iberia, part-owned by BA. France's GTM is to take a 25% stake in Brussels South Charleroi Airport. The regional government wants to upgrade BSCA to handle 2.5 million passengers by 2003. California-based NDT Systems has divested its Curlin Medical group to focus on ultrasonic flaw detectors and gauges for the aerospace industry. The Italian Space Agency (ASI) and Telespazio have formed a joint venture, dubbed "Newco". and to be based in Matera, to provide earth observation services.
