* L-3 Communications has acquired Santa Rosa, California-based Sonoma Design group, a manufacturer of stabilised electro-optical and infrared imaging systems for platforms including unmanned air vehicles. Terms were not disclosed.
* United Industrial subsidiary AAI has acquired Hamble, UK-based electronic-warfare systems company ESL Defence for around $10 million in cash. ESL makes electro-optical test and simulation products.
* Elbit Systems subsidiary Cyclone Aviation Products has acquired the assets of Israel Military Industries' Aircraft Systems division, which manufactures weapon pylons and external fuel tanks for fighters, for around $7 million.
* US air traffic control sensor supplier Sensis is to acquire Campbell, California-based Seagull Technology, a specialist in airspace system modelling and simulation.
