British Aerospace Asset Management has announced that it has set up a deal which will see six Fairchild Metro IIIs delivered to California-based cargo operator Ameriflight in July.

Ameriflight's fleet of nearly 200 aircraft handles over 75,000 packages per day for courier services such as UPS and DHL as well as major banking consortia. From 11 hubs in the USA, it flies 2,500 departures each week.

British Aerospace Asset Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Aerospace North America, managers and re-markets BAe's previously operated turboprop fleet.
