Hong Kong-based Metrojet has added its first Boeing Business Jet to its fleet of managed aircraft.

It will operate, manage and maintain the aircraft on behalf of the owner, says Metrojet, which owns and manages a fleet of more than 20 aircraft.

"Metrojet will register this BBJ under our AOC charter operation, and the aircraft will be available for charter by the end of the year," says its chief operating officer Lester Ingram.

The BBJ, which can take up to 18 passengers, has a range of 11,500km (6,210nm) and can reach a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.82 at altitudes of up to 41,000ft (12,500m).

It is equipped with a guest room, stateroom, a guest lavatory and a VIP lavatory with shower, says Metrojet, which assisted the aircraft owner through the aircraft acquisition process,

Metrojet, which is part of Hong Kong Aviation Group, provides aircraft charter, management, maintenance and co-ownership programmes among others. It is certified to work on Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft.

Besides the BBJ, Metrojet's fleet includes the Gulfstream G200, G550 and Bombardier Global Express.
