Russia's Strategic Missile Forces successfully tested for the first time on 27 September the mobile version of the Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile. The test occurred less than 24h after the launch of a Topol-M from an underground silo. Both launches were from Plesetsk in Northern Russia and were aimed at Klyuchi test range on the Kamchatka peninsula.
