NASA’s Robotic Lunar Exploration programme has selected the second of its series of missions, to fly in 2010 to “demonstrate precision landings at targeted locations on the Moon”. The lander is scheduled to be built by NASA’s Marshall and Goddard Space flight centres and follow the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, to be launched in 2008.
