Mooney Airplane has introduced the Ovation3, a more powerful version of its normally aspirated high-performance piston single. The four-seat aircraft is powered by a 310hp (230kW) Teledyne Continental IO-550 and cruises 9kt (17km/h) faster than the 280hp Ovation2 GX. At $453,500, the 197kt Ovation3 is priced between the Ovation 2 GX at $438,000 and turbo-normalised, 235kt Acclaim at $495,000.
