Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE), in conjunction with Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services, has wet-leased three new-build Boeing 767-300ERs to Alitalia. The first aircraft was delivered in early August, with the remaining two scheduled for delivery in November and February 1996. The three 767s were ordered from Boeing by SALE in a deal worth around $294 million, and join two others leased to Alitalia early in 1995. The 767s are operated on behalf of the Italian flag carrier by Monarch Airlines (Flight International, 5-11 July).
