Farnborough organisers are well ahead of the game, with sales of space for the 2006 show more than 12% ahead of where they were this time in the last show cycle. So far 46 new exhibitors have signed up for the next event to be held 17-23 July 2006.
Trevor Sidebottom, managing director of Farnborough International Ltd (E410), says: “The progress as we move towards another Farnborough year is extremely encouraging.
“The take-up of exhibition space across the show is now well ahead of usual at this stage in the calendar and, although it is too early to be specific, all the indications are that the numbers of aircraft attending will be also be very strong for the 2006 event.”
Participation in the Business Aircraft Park, a novel concept introduced at the last show, is expected to grow in 2006 as it moves to its new, more central location, and facilities are extended for this ‘show within a show’.
Sidebottom says: “The 2006 show will be a vibrant event and will look noticeably different from any previous year as we work with our customers to ensure we express their marketing needs in a much broader range of display and hospitality options than ever before.
“Farnborough International Airshow is forging ahead and will remain a powerful, cost effective marketing tool well into the long term.”
