Messier-Bugatti says that it is developing a "more-electric" concept for use in aircraft-braking systems. The French company's computerised electro-hydraulic actuator is operated as a "smart" independent subsystem, capable of controlling and monitoring its own functions. Its compact design allows it to be fitted very close to the brake, eliminating the need for a hydraulic connection with the airframe.
