More senior management changes are taking place at Malaysia Airlines (MAS) as new managing director Idris Jala works to restructure the loss-making carrier.

Chief financial officer Low Chee Teng departed the airline at the end of January. It followed the departure of senior general manager Chris Andrews, in December. MAS says its new finance chief is executive director Azmil Zahruddin, a former head of the carrier’s parent company, Penerbangan Malaysia.

The carrier’s managing director Idris took over in December with a brief to turn the loss-making airline around. He replaced Ahmad Fuaad Dahlan, who resigned in August after disappointing results.
