Spanish industrial groups MP and SK10 have joined forces to supply parts for Airbus aircraft and the EADS Casa C295 and CN235-300 military transports.
MP Aeronautica will produce belly fairing and horizontal stabiliser parts for several Airbus models and rear fuselage parts for the Casa aircraft, says MP.
MP will carry out most of the production at its industrial plants in Seville and nearby Cadiz. The company is expected to employ about 100 people.
The establishment of MP Aeronautica is a major strategy shift for MP. Founded in the late 1980s, the company has built up business as a supplier of parts for elevators and home appliances.
"The aeronautics sector is a big industrial opportunity for Andalusia which we are not going to waste," says MP president Gonzalo de Madariaga.
Spanish savings bank Unicaja is understood to be one of MP Aeronautica's main financial supporters.
