MRO providers Barfield and Aero Maintenance Group (AMG), which were both acquired in recent years by Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, have combined their sales divisions as part of an ongoing integration of the two companies.
A media release issued by Barfield and AMG says the combined sales division will be led by senior vice-president of sales John Rogers, a longtime employee of Barfield.
“The first step of a common organisation between Barfield and AMG has been to combine their two sales organisations… with the objective of reinforcing a customer-centric approach and maximising sales momentum,” says the release.
Rogers, who has worked at Barfield since 1988, was most recently that company’s senior vice-president of sales and marketing, the release says.
AFM KLM E&M has been extending its reach into the US in recent years through a number of acquisitions.
The company had held a majority stake in AMG, which is based in Miami and Atlanta, since 2008, and acquired all of AMG in 2011.
AMG repairs and overhauls a wide range of components and owns three MRO subsidiaries: Precision Electronics, Aero Technologies and Air-Pro.
AFM KLM E&M acquired Barfield, also based in Miami, in 2014. Barfield provides component and avionics repairs. rotable services and makes ground support test equipment.
