Collins Aerospace has landed new contracts to maintain Boeing 787 equipment for All Nippon Airways and nacelles for Air Europa.
Under a 10-year deal with Japanese carrier ANA, Collins will maintain a wide variety of components, most of them power and control equipment such as electric, engine and air management systems.
Collins Aerospace makes the six generators on each 787, along with related electric systems that provide electricity to the aircraft.
The aerospace company will also provide ANA with data analytics product FlightSense, says Collins, a division of United Technologies Corporation based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The deal applies to all ANA’s 787s. The airline's fleet includes 35 787-8 aircraft, along with 30 787-9 aircraft and one 787-10, according to Cirium’s Fleets Analyzer. The airline also has outstanding orders for 14 787-9 aircraft and two 787-10 aircraft.
The new nacelle agreement between Collins and Spanish carrier Air Europa extends a previous deal by 10 years and includes 787 work for the first time.
Collins also maintains nacelles on Air Europa's 737 aircraft, Airbus-built A330s, Embraer 195s and ATR 72s operated by regional affiliate Air Europa Express.
Collins, which manufactures the nacelles on those aircraft, will support Air Europa’s fleet from sites in Prestwick, Scotland and Toulouse, it says.
