Rolls-Royce (R-R) and China Southern Airlines have inked a Letter of Intent for engine MRO services for the Trent XWB engines.
The agreement, signed under R-R’s TotalCare aftercare service solution, will cover the Trent XWB engines powering all 20 Airbus A350-900s that the carrier will operate. Cirium’s fleets data shows that the carrier currently has three A350s in operation.

The partnership was signed during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. R-R did not disclose the value of the contract.
Last year, China Eastern inked a similar engine MRO deal with R-R for Trent XWB engines on its A350s.
