Kenya Airways has picked Etihad Airways' maintenance division to conduct light checks on Boeing 737s and 787s.

Etihad Airways Engineering says it will conduct A-checks on "a number" of Dreamliners and 737s in the African carrier's fleet.

In 2017, the Middle Eastern MRO provider completed C-checks on Kenya Airways' 787s.

"We are pleased to welcome Kenya Airways back to our facility in Abu Dhabi," states Etihad Airways Engineering chief executive Abdul Khaliq Saeed.

He adds that the MRO provider is committed establishing itself as a support specialist for "modern platforms" like the 787 and Airbus A380.

Etihad Airways Engineering is a partner in Airbus’s MRO Alliance.
