HAECO’s composite services unit has added the GE90 engine to its fan case overhaul capabilities.
The unit, based in Jinjiang in China, will provide preventive maintenance inspections and associated repairs for fan stator modules on the engines, which power Boeing 777-300ERs.
“The scope of work includes ultrasonic inspections of composite panels and other metallic components of the fan stator module,” HAECO adds.
The MRO adds that the new capability has already been deployed on a number of its Asian customers’ fan cases.
HAECO’s composite services unit, which was established in 2009, does repair and overhaul works for nacelles, radomes and aerostructures.
