US carrier Horizon Air has assigned heavy maintenance checks for a fleet of Embraer 175 regional jets to the manufacturer's MRO centre in Nashville.
Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services will complete airframe maintenance, modifications and repair services for 30 E175s under an exclusive, multi-year contract through Embraer's TechCare aftermarket programme, the airframer says.
Horizon Air, a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, introduced the E175 in 2017.
Cirium's fleet data shows that the carrier has orders for another three E175s and options for another 60.
The airline also has 40 De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400s, including six stored units.
Vice-president of maintenance and engineering George Knobloch states that Embraer was able "to conveniently accommodate our heavy maintenance needs in Nashville, Tennessee".
