Israel Aerospace Industries has started maintenance services for International Aero Engines V2500s powering Airbus A320-family jets.
IAI says it has signed a 10-year agreement with the Pratt & Whitney-led engine consortium, under which maintenance and modification unit Bedek Aviation Group has become a service centre for the V2500.
The first V2500 for Bedek has arrived at its engine shop today, IAI adds.
Previously, Bedek's engine support capabilities covered a range of commercial and military powerplants, including the CFM International CFM56 series, General Electric CF34-8, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, JT9D, and Rolls-Royce T56 turboprop engine, IAI's website indicates.
