Pratt & Whitney has announced the launch of PureSolutionSM services, a flexible maintenance plan designed for the engine-maker's PurePower engine family.
Delivered by P&W's service network, PureSolutionSM - announced at the Aviation Week MRO Americas show in Miami - is intended to offer MRO services for the company's PW1000G and PW800 engines through OEM and supplier partnerships, along with "new network partners serving as centres of excellence".
P&W says: "PureSolutionSM services offer customers a wide range of comprehensive and fully customisable MRO services to ensure predictable maintenance costs and maximise the PurePower engine's performance over its life span - resulting in the lowest cost of ownership."
Tom Hutton, Pratt & Whitney global service partners vice president, says the PureSolutionSM services "offer MRO expertise from the PurePower engine OEM - the experts that designed, tested and understand the engine best. This expertise is incorporated into the PureSolution service offering, and will sustain the engine's operating cost benefits throughout its life."
The PW1524G will be the first member of the PurePower engine family to enter service with the Bombardier CSeries in 2013, followed by the PW1217G for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet in 2014, PW1100G on the Airbus A320neo in October 2015, and PW1400G on the Irkut MS-21 in 2016.
